When in Rome & Coin Necklaces

July 29, 2019

Coin necklaces are such a cool way to add a bit of dimension and texture to an outfit. In fact, it seems to be part of the effortlessly chic European uniform. What better place to try it out than the Trevi Fountain in Rome? Tradition has it that if you throw three coins into the fountain the first guarantees your return to Rome, the second promises romance, and the third, marriage. Love it!

Temps in the city are in the high 90s, so I chose to pair my coin necklaces with a lightweight cotton blouse, lace bralette, jean cutoffs, geometric kitten heels (affordable version here, designer version here), and an antique collapsible bamboo bag. My particular blouse is sold out so I’ve added similar styles to check out below.

TRAVEL TIP:

Want the place all to yourself? Head there before breakfast. The hubby and I stopped by twice, once in the afternoon and other early in the morning around 6am. The morning was perfect–so peaceful! Had the place [practically] to ourselves, though I’m not sure the pigeons would agree. Haha.

Loved the blouse. Thanks for the other available styles. I might just buy a coin necklace to wear to my local fountain – not in Rome, but still very magical
